At opnå indsigt, tempelridderne og Den Hellige Gral. / To gain insight, the Knights Templar and the Holy Grail.

————————————————————————————————————

One of the most read posts on this blog is one that mentions the Knights Templar and the mystery they were said to guard. That of the Holy Grail. Numerous books have been written on the subject of the Knights Templar, the Holy Grail and the mystery surrounding it, for example “the Da Vinci Code”.

However, each and every one of us has the possibility to gain insight into the “mystery” but simply very few venture out beyond the mental boundaries within which we live in today’s society. (Speaking of which – it reminds me of yesterday’s post on rejecting the miraculous.)
It is these boundaries shaped by history, society and our own personal experience  which we have to challenge if we wish to see. To gain insight. But in order to do this, we have to first accept the longing for meaning that beacons us and then venture out on the quest for our own inner Holy Grail. A quest, that becomes a journey into our own borderlands, through and beyond them, through our own reservations, judgements and preconceptions. A journey out and into the unknown.

As I write this, I recognize that this journey is basically the theme of the novel, “Letter from Another Reality”, the first draft of which I finished in November. Thus, it is actually a – different – contribution to and on the subject of the Path of the Knights Templar and the journey to the Holy Grail.
